Fringes

Fringes is about statements. Challenging the idea of how we perceive clothing and interact with it, focusing on giving wearers autonomy over their garments and allowing them to explore and curate their silhouettes and appearance. With roots in workwear and grunge, the combination of durable fabrics and heavy silhouettes provides longevity and structure. Fringes proposes alternative methods to fashion's fast consumption rates and society’s desire for individuality. The use of modular components combined with 3D design and interactive elements empowers consumers by providing autonomy and flexibility over their clothing.

Sustainability

Fringes mission is to slow down the consumption cycle and get consumers to value their possessions more. Achieved by providing a hyper-transparent approach, centring on longevity & customizability, giving consumers autonomy and building a bond between wearer and garment. In addition to this, all garments are created in CLO3D.

Diversity
Focusing on inclusive design through customizability and modularity, components are interchangeable, allowing the consumer to alter the appearances and silhouettes. Additionally with an androgynous approach to the shapes of the garments Fringes aims to create without the influence of directly gendered connotations.
